The LANCOM Office ISDN and DSL series offers the full and unlimited state-of-the-art router functionality that is necessary to connect a network to the Internet at an unbeatable value-for-money ratio.
With the LANCOM Faxmodem Option additional functionality can be added into the LANCOM Office series on top of the LANCOM Office Firmware 2.10 when needed. This option comes with all the features that the LANCOM Office Firmware 2.10 has and offers in addition an integrated fax solution to use with popular fax servers and applications running under Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 via CAPI 2.0. Unlike the already existing CAPI faxmodem and softfax solution that comes with every LANCOM Office router, the LANCOM Office Faxmodem Option uses the processor power inside of the LANCOM Office itself and therefore moves the load away from the PC running the faxserver.
The LANCOM Office Faxmodem Option is the ideal solution for small and medium size offices that need to have fax functionality on every networked PC. Furthermore the LANCOM Office Faxmodem Option offers the possibility for remote configuration and remote access using an analog modem. This gives more flexibility in accessing the LANCOM Office router or the network even when an ISDN line is not available at the remote site.
